Christopher Soupal of MetaBank appointed division president,

SIOUX FALLS, SD, June 29, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – MetaBank^®, NA, a leading financial aid company, has announced the promotion of Christopher Soupal to President of Commercial Finance. He will report to Brett Pharr, co-president and COO of MetaBank.

Soupal brings more than 20 years of experience in finance and capital management to his new role. He will lead all aspects of trade finance including Crestmark and AFS / IBEX divisions as well as commercial operations.

Soupal joined Crestmark in 2014 as National Sales Director of the new government-guaranteed loan group, which he transformed into a cutting-edge platform offering SBA and USDA loans to niche sectors. Soupal was promoted to President of the State Guaranteed Loans business unit in 2019; and in 2020, he was appointed responsible for the Equipment Finance, Supplier Finance and Joint Ventures business units, as well as Renewable Energy Lending and Product Development. In his new role, Soupal will oversee all product lines of the Commercial Finance division, including asset lending and accounts receivable financing through the Commercial Credit and Commercial Capital business units.
