Subject matter experts will explain how lenders can use SPCPs to boost homeownership opportunities in underserved communities
DES MOINES, Iowa, Oct. 13, 2022 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — iEmergent, a forecasting and advisory services company for the financial services, mortgage and real estate industries, will host a virtual Special Purpose Credit Programs Workshop on Wednesday ( SPCP). Nov. 9, noon to 2 p.m. ET. Through a panel discussion and hands-on practicum, “Unleashing the Potential of SPCPs: A Practical Workshop for Mortgage Lenders” will give attendees the skills and confidence to develop and launch successful SPCPs while earning points for their banker Certified Mortgage (CMB) designation from the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA).
SPCPs are loan programs designed to provide preferential loan terms to groups of people, such as people of color and women, who would otherwise receive less favorable terms or be excluded from access to credit altogether.
